Sage River Bulldogs – The Journey
What started as a three-decade devotion to German Shepherds blossomed into a profound calling for the Bulldog. Now, our lives revolve around this specialized program, operating with the belief that every canine should be a beloved household companion above all else. Under the mentorship of Sammy Bond of Bond's West Tech Bulldogs, we have finished our male dog and acquired a Grand Champion girl to help us get started in this new breed. While we celebrate achieving AKC titles, our truest devotion lies in the physical soundness and genetic purity of the breed. By emphasizing stable personalities and detailed health checks, we provide every pup with a superior foundation. We strive to create genuine, lifelong connections with our adopters. I've known Cyndy since 1990 and walked through the dog world with her since that time. I've watched her finish the championships on multiple breeds of dogs, exhibiting great care and honoring the breeds she worked with.
I've owned several of her puppies over the years, and they always came beautiful specimens of their breed, physically healthy and, almost more importantly, MENTALLY healthy.
Cyndy creates the best of both worlds with her dogs, genetic testing of parents, certainly, but also a wholesome, back-to-nature, method of raising puppies to be brave, curious, friendly with strangers (and non-human species, as well), and knowing many things about the world already.
That's my favorite aspect of her breeding program, letting dogs develop and shine without overbearing sets of rules and overprotection. It creates amazing companions that can excel, be than in the show ring, for some, but as fantastic, well-rounded pets for most.. Highly recommended, ethical breeder who truly does it out of true love of the animal.
